Armored Glass

On Spetstekhsteklo LLC developed new types of the stratified multi-layered glasses of the promoted durability, which provide perfect security at the different types of dynamic influence and have high optical descriptions. Also here developed technical terms for the multi-layered glass "Stratified multi-layered glasses" TU 26.1-32743744-007-2004.

Spetstekhsteklo LLC utilizes the row of progressive technologies for increase of durability of glass (tempering, etching, covering with the protection layers, ionic exchange). The complex use of the different ways of increase of mechanical properties of glass allowed to sum up their advantages and to increase the effect of strengthening by this way.

For the reliable protecting from a defeat by bullets and fragments on Spetstekhsteklo LLC were created the effective constructions of "transparent armor", which consist of:

  • superficial layer, directly perceiving a blow;
  • power layer, reducing energy of blow;
  • back layer, taking in energy of blow and prohibitive of fragments formation and flying them away

On a requirement specification our skilled specialists will sort out a composition which will have strength and viscosity characteristics.

The conducted earlier works (March, 1996 on initiative of the Kharkov physics-technical institute with participation the chairman of Department of Energy of the USA D. Kuzmycz P.E; November 1996 g with the French firm "Saint Gobain") showed considerable margin of safety for the glasses developed by us.

Taking into account aforesaid, in 2006 on Spetstekhsteklo LLC developed shockproof compositions with less (20%) weight at saving all of the set of dynamic characteristics (customer "Oran Safety Glass" company, Israel).

Multi-layered glasses with promoted durability (I, II, III, IV, V class of defense, ballistics makes 6 points), depending on purpose, can be utilize for glazing of the special buildings, auto and railway transport, airplanes, helicopters, sea and river craft, facilities of individual and collective defense, and also in the systems of physical defense of objects of atomic energy in accordance with the model of threat. Working interval of temperatures of these wares from minus of 60 С to plus of 80 С.

The reliability of the multi-layered glass of promoted durability of I, II, III, IV, V defense classes was proved by tests in the Department of Tests of Research Institute of Special Technique of MVS of Ukraine at December, 9, 2004.

Tests were conducted with requirements obedience of STANDART 78.11.003-2000 and showed positive results (protocol # 15.024).

What is main advantage of our multi-layered glass? (triplex)?
It is that it provides safety and comfort for people - at work, at home, at the train or in the salon of car - anywhere such glass is set. Without it it's impossible to imagine the modern interiors, offices, restaurants and hotels.

With this glass are equipped the points of currency exchange, places of reception and values storage, Lombard's and depositaries, cash halls of banks, doors, booths of cashiers and etc. With high durability of glazing we provide the reliable protecting of apartments from unauthorized penetration.

Bullet-proof glasses which we offer have different degrees of defense. The glass we produce has class of defense SP-3 and will survive shots from a gun and machinegun of Kalashnikov.
